Dr. Joel Shanklin is a 1992 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His Internship and Residency in General Surgery were developed at the University of Arizona ending in 1997. Dr. Shanklin, always focused and curious about detailed surgery, in 1998 went to the Kleinert Institute for Hand & Microsurgery in Louisville for his Hand Surgery and Microsurgery Residency.
His Plastic and reconstructive surgery education and training took place at the University of California. Since 2000 Dr. Shanklin has been perfecting his techniques as a plastic surgeon. Many patients from all around the country had surgery with Dr. Shanklin.
